Your Business Should Have An App

Given how many smartphones are being carried around, it’s surprising that more Black businesses aren’t making the most of mobile apps. They’re easy to create and manage, offer an unparalleled user experience, and make you stand out from the crowd. They also allow you to really create something that speaks to who you are as a company and cement your branding. What’s not to love? In the coming years, they’re only going to become more and more common. Put yourself at the forefront of what’s hot and boost your business all at the same time.
It’s Where People Are
The data surrounding the amount of time are spending on their smartphones is pretty staggering. For starters, there are a lot of people with smartphones - and they’re spending more time that you’d expect - more time than they’d like, in all honesty - scrolling through timelines and spending time in apps. And in fact, quite a high percentage of internet users are smartphone only: they don’t even own a traditional computer. So if that’s where the people are, that’s where you should go. Smartphones have more and more storage, too, which means people generally don’t think too hard before downloading an app. If they like your business, they’ll download your application.
It’s Easier Than You Think
People seem to think that building and maintaining an app is difficult, but it’s probably easier than you think. There are programs that allow you to build your application exactly as you want want it to be, and then you can monitor its performance with a program like Retrace by Stackify. It’s that simple. You probably thought getting a website up and running for your company would be difficult, but you did that - and you can get a mobile app with the same amount of effort, too.
Boosting Customer Engagement And Trust
The main reason you would want to have a mobile app is to solidify your relationship with your customers, both current and potential. And indeed, that’s just what an app will do. It allows you to engage with your customers (and vice versa) in ways that have never been possible before. You can customise their experience and make it so they’re able to feel like an individual customer rather than just one in a million. It also helps to develop trust, as your store will always be “open” when they need you and you’ll look as professional as can be.
Putting Yourself Ahead
In the end, your company probably isn’t the only one doing what you do. You have competition, and you want to stay ahead of them at all times. If your rivals don’t have an app now, there’s every chance they will in the future. But if you act now then you’ll be putting yourself in pole position to capture as much of the market as possible. And once you’ve got your customers on the hook, a mobile app will put you in a position to keep them loyal to your company. It’s a no brainer, essentially - build that app!
