Talk Of The Town: Putting Your New Business On The Map

Whether you’re an established business or a brand new company, you need to impress potential customers. To promote your brand and the services or products you sell, it’s important to design a marketing strategy that works. If you get your marketing plans right, there’s every chance that your business will go from strength to strength. Here are some of the most effective marketing methods out there and some tips to help your business become the talk of the town.

Putting your name about in the local area

If you’ve set up a small business and you’re hoping to make a splash in the local area, there are lots of different ways you can put your name out there. Online marketing can be useful, but don’t ignore traditional techniques such as placing adverts in papers and dropping leaflets through doors. It’s also a great idea to try and form partnerships with other local businesses or community groups and to get involved. Perhaps you could sponsor a charity fun run and give out branded bottles from Dynamic Gift,  or you could put your brand name on the shirt of the local soccer team. If you’re a brand new company, you could also consider organizing a launch party or running a competition to get people interested in the venture. If you’ve got a restaurant, for example, you could offer a free meal for the winners of a competition on Facebook. Better yet, if you make use of franchise opportunities, there is a chance you could onboard with a worthwhile brand and have all the hard promotional work done for you.

Building an online presence

Did you know that around 70 percent of small businesses now have a website? You may assume that you don’t need to be online if you don’t run an ecommerce venture, but this simply isn’t true. Being online can catapult you to the stratosphere in this day and age. Online marketing isn’t necessarily about driving online sales, it’s about driving sales in general. By marketing your business online, you can reach out to a huge audience, and you can interact with customers in a much faster, cheaper and easier way. If you don’t have a website yet, this is the first step to take. Consider your website a virtual shop window. By accessing this site, potential customers can find out more about your business, what you do, and what you sell. You can also give clients information about how they can get in touch and place an order.

Once the website is up and running, set up some social media accounts and start promoting your company through pages and posts. Link all your profiles to your website and encourage people to spread the word by sharing and liking images and articles. Do some market research and use analytics to determine which platforms will be most suitable for your business.

If you’re launching a new business or you’re hoping to take your company to the next level, it pays to invest in an effective, innovative, streamlined marketing strategy. Get to know the target market, identify which methods would be most effective for your business and combine traditional and modern techniques.
