Career changes happen all the time. The difference is in finding the career that you love. Don’t just jump into something because it is something different, you need to do it because it is what you want to do. Something you get satisfaction from. That is what makes the best job. Everyone has to work, only the few and privileged do not need to work. The rest need to make money to stay afloat and keep the family running. People think this means going to do something they do not like or do not want to do. However it doesn’t have to. The trick is finding a career that can help you explore your passion, or at least find a career with a difference that allows you to do something different and be a better, happier person. These are out there, waiting to be found and explored. You may think you could never do it, never make the change. But you can and people do so every day. Here are some careers with a difference, careers that aren’t like the usual nine to five and can help you make something of yourself that you are proud of. You may have considered some, but check the others out and see if they apply to you.
Fitness
A career in fitness is a huge no go for many people. And it is fair enough. Some like staying fit, others positively hate exercise in any way, shape or form. However, it provides a career with a difference because you are helping people achieve what they want whilst also exploring a career path that you enjoy. Only those who love fitness usually take the route and make it a career and that’s great because it is something they enjoy. If you have a passion for fitness then consider it. There are a myriad of routes open for you. One being that of a personal trainer. You will need to find a course provider such as Origym. Having the right certifications will help you kick on and proceed in your chosen field. You don’t need to be a personal trainer though, there are other options available for you. You could go into sports medication, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, etc. Be prepared to need a degree or good experience. It can be a daunting task, yet one you can tackle with ease if it is what you want to do.
Charity
If you enjoy helping people then this can be the route for you. Taking pleasure from helping others is a noble quality to possess. There aren’t enough people out there who like doing it. You can really make a difference to your life and the lives of others by working in charity. You can approach this from a myriad of angles. The easiest is by applying to jobs at local charities. This could be helping people on the streets or helping in out in local charity stores. Whatever you decide to do you need to ensure that it is right for you. If you enjoy seeing the world then you could go out the countries in need and help on the ground. There are all kinds of things you can do. It could be working with troubled youths in your area, helping them get back on their feet and mentoring them to success. It could even be fundraising for these charities. The options are limitless. This career differs because you know you are making a difference to countless lives out there. You just need to find the right niche to go in at, the right angle that suits you and your family.

If you wanted to be a paramedic then you likely need to look into getting a university degree in paramedical science. The fire service is easier to access in terms of its criteria but harder because the jobs are few and far between. Policing is the easiest to access but comes with danger to your person. Whichever you choose, give it due and appropriate thought otherwise you could rue your decision. Each comes with varying pro’s and cons, you just need to work out where you are more likely to flourish.
The Military
Another government based job, yet the difference being its wide ranging spectrum. This doesn’t mean you’ll be fighting with a rifle, there are all different kinds of jobs in the military, some are accessible others less so. Yet many give you the opportunity to see the world from many and varying perspectives. You need to find your in, and take it. If you wanted to do something different and open ended then this can be the career for you. Remember there are all different kinds of branches too. The navy, army and air force all provide wide ranging and various jobs that can help you be the best you can be and strive for excellence.
Teaching
You may scoff, but it is a noble profession and one where you impact the lives of young people. You can help, change and improve a child’s education, forming them into great and upstanding people. If you like to work with children then this can be the job for you. You can really make a hit doing it too. You will need a degree, and then maybe the relevant teaching qualification to get into the field, so ensure you have some savings before getting into the course. Or you could do it part time.
