What Are The Best Ways To Keep In Touch With Your Customers?

By Business Desk

Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

When you run a small business, it’s important to build a great relationship with your customers. If you can do this, they are much more likely to come back to you rather than look elsewhere, and they’ll let others know about the excellent service they got from you too.

One way to build this relationship is to keep in touch with customers. This will remind them that you exist, and it means you can give them special offers and discounts which will entice them to keep buying from you. Plus it can enhance your reputation. With that in mind, here are some of the best ways you can stay in touch with your customers.

Write A Regular Newsletter

One of the easiest ways to stay in touch with customers and to make your brand more well-known is to write a regular newsletter and send it out via email – gone are the days of having to post hard copies (although if this is something you feel would help to set your business apart from the rest, by all means, go ahead).

The newsletter needs to include plenty of helpful information for it to be of interest to those you are sending it to; the more interesting you can make it, the less likely people are to unsubscribe. This information could include the latest company news, any special offers you might be running (which could only be for newsletter subscribers), and expert hints and tips to make people’s lives easier.

Run Events And Workshops

Events and workshops are a great way to find new customers and show the wider world what you do and how good you are at doing it. However, even if the main aim of the event is to find new customers, don’t forget to invite your old customers too. Even if they don’t have any interest themselves, they might forward the information on to others who will.

Even if you’re not personally running an event, you can still invite customers to other people’s events. Of course, this shouldn’t be anything that is your competition, but if it runs parallel or is connected to your business in some way, your customers will appreciate the information, and it will give you a reason to stay in touch.

Send SMS Updates

The vast majority of people have a cell phone these days, and many of them have smartphones. They carry these devices around with them all the time and are constantly using them for one reason or another. Perhaps for no reason at all.

Why not use this technology to keep your business in their minds? You can schedule SMS campaigns with FireText to send out updates, offers, and information to those who have permitted you to do so. These messages will never go unnoticed since they are sent to a phone, and they will undoubtedly remind people you are there.

The number of SMS messages you send will depend on what you are trying to achieve. You might send updates about an order, perhaps you’ll get in touch on special occasions, or it might be a more regular message, giving the customer information and advice.
